Weavers expertly utilise natural dyes from plants, ochres and berries to tell rich stories through the pattern and colour they use.
The traditional knowledge used to make this bilum is handed down through the generations, most learning from a young age the art of bilum. Each bilum can take up to 6 weeks to make.
